Not at all. The Memory Maker has no settings: wind the dial, turn on the flash and press the button. Every order comes with a quick-start guide and we have step by step video guides on Instagram.

yes! The Ubuntu Memory Maker is a reusable film camera, just swap out your used roll of film once it’s finished for a fresh one and start from scratch ;)

Yes! You will need 1x brand new AA battery to power the flash on your camera.

Once you have used up the film in your camera, you will have to go to your nearest film development lab/camera shop to get your photos developed. Your local film development lab can develop your photos as physical prints or digital scans, which will be emailed directly to your phone. Development times will vary, but should take approximately 3-10 days.

There are a number of film development labs that accept film via mail or drop off. You can easily find these labs by searching “Film development near me” on google. If you are having any troubles finding a lab to develop your film, please reach out to us at hello@ubuntufilm.co.za so that we can recommend labs in your local area :)
